A Wired-up University

LThe University of Leon has an extensive ICT (information and communications technology) infrastructure. All the buildings on campus and most of the green spaces between them have free Wi-Fi cover for members of the university community. Besides specialized computer labs, all departments have access to the Internet and almost all teaching rooms have technological equipment to support classes.
The University also has a special-purpose building housing a Learning and Research Resources Centre, the CRAI-TIC. This has computer laboratories with various configurations, videoconferencing rooms, multimedia classrooms and other facilities. The CRAI-TIC also incorporates the Castile and Leon Supercomputing Centre, one of the most powerful information technology infrastructures in that Autonomous Region and indeed in all Spain.
