Entry to undergraduate courses for students coming from educational systems outside Spain

1.- Students from the E.U. or from countries with international agreements, or holding European Baccalaureate or International Baccalaureate qualifications

Students qualified to enter university in their own countries:

These students need to present the entry credentials issued by the Spanish National Open University (UNED). A temporary document may be used until the definitive version is issued. Requests for these credentials should be made through UNED. To check the documents required for issue, see the UNED website, in particular the page: http://www.uned.es/accesoUE

These students must register in advance through the Castile and Leon Inter-University Matriculation System on the website: https://campus.usal.es/~precyl/

Students not meeting the requirements for university entry in their own countries, but who have completed studies or hold qualifications equating to the baccalaureate level of the Spanish education system (“bachillerato”):

These students may register provisionally until they can have their qualifications recognized as valid. They must present certificates duly validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.

Requests for recognition of qualifications may be addressed to the following organizations:

2.- Students from countries that are not members of the E.U. and that have no international agreement in force

Such students must submit certificates formally validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education. They may register provisionally for courses until their certificates have been recognized as valid.

Requests for recognition and validation of qualifications may be addressed to the following organizations:

3.- Students who have completed courses of studies or who hold qualifications equating to Spanish higher diplomas in Art, Sport, or other professional or vocational fields.

Such students must submit certificates formally validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education. They may register provisionally for courses until their certificates have been recognized as valid.

4.- Students who have undertaken university courses in their countries of origin

If they hold a recognized qualification, they must submit it after validation by the Spanish Ministry of Education. They may register provisionally for a course until the qualification is recognized as valid.

Recognition of the validity of qualifications may be requested from any of the appropriate sections of the Spanish Ministry of Education:

If students have not completed their courses, or hold qualifications not recognized as valid, they must request a Dean or other appropriate official of the University where they have been studying to issue documentation certifying the completion of at least thirty (30) credits valid under the European Credit Transfer System.
